The Mini Album

Victoria's Big Easy

BIO 1

Formed a year ago, Victoria’s Big Easy, a seven piece band from the ‘Colne Delta’ of Colchester Essex, performed a concert at The Colne Delta Blues club to honour the music of Multi Grammy award winner and Rock Hall of Fame artist, Bonnie Raitt.

This highly acclaimed evening was captured on an album, ‘Live at The Colne Delta’, which was released September 2025.

Inspired by that success, the band set about to develop their own style.

Chris West “It was clear that Victoria’s love of classic blues was deeply rooted in her singing style, so we talked about all those great artists she loves, like Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith and more recently Beth Hart. So we decided our journey would start with an album inspired by early Delta Blues and Appalachian music, music that inspired Bonnie Raitt, but self penned and with our own stamp on it”.
Victoria Skingsley-Bartholomew,  I’m so pleased that we have captured on our latest album ‘’What The Tide Took Back’ the essence and heart of the feeling I get from blues music”.

The latest album, ‘What The Tide Took Back’ os due for release on 27Th April 2026.
